Bonus Chapter FAQs
Where can I find the link?
Once you have signed up for your chosen event (or events!), your event link will be available in your ticket confirmation, which you will receive automatically via email. We’ll also send you a reminder email before the event with everything you need to join. We recommend joining a few minutes early so you have time to get settled!
What if I can't make the Bonus Chapter event?
Don’t worry! We know life happens. If you can’t make the Bonus Chapter event, you’ll still be able to enjoy the book and take part in the conversation with the community in our dedicated Discord channel leading up to the event and afterwards. All we ask is if you can no longer attend the event, please log into the member's area and cancel your ticket, so someone else can be offered your space.
Do I need my camera on?
Not at all! Bonus Chapter events are designed to be a low-pressure way to hear from your favourite authors, discuss your favourite genres or learn a new craft. You’re welcome to have your camera on, but you can also sit back, relax and keep it switched off. There’s absolutely no pressure to be on camera. For our Author events, only the host and author will be visible.
Can we talk about the book leading up to the event (i.e. Discord)?
Absolutely! We love seeing the Bonus Chapter conversations happening in the community. You’re welcome to chat about the book in the dedicated Discord channel ahead of the event. Just remember that not everyone may have finished the book yet, so please be mindful of spoilers and use spoiler warnings where needed. If you have any questions for our author Q&As, make sure you pop them into the Discord channel ahead of the Q&A!
Will Bonus Chapter events be recorded?
Author Q&As are recorded and added to our YouTube channel, Spotify and Apple Podcasts, usually within 1–2 weeks of the event, which is great if you are unable to attend but really don't want to miss out on the amazing bookish chats! Other Bonus Chapter events aren’t necessarily recorded, so we’ll always let you know if a recording is planned for those!
How can I ask the author a question?
You can ask the author a question in the dedicated Discord channel ahead of the Q&A. The host will collect your questions and put as many as we can to the author during the event. While we can’t guarantee every question will be answered live, we’ll do our best to get through as many as possible!
Are the Author Q&As spoiler-free?
We’ll always do our best to keep Bonus Chapter events accessible to everyone, regardless of whether they have read the book, but author conversations can sometimes naturally touch on plot details, characters and endings. We’ll give you a spoiler warning before any major spoilers, but if you haven’t finished the book yet, we recommend catching up before joining to be safe!
