The latest episode of the Chapter 25 podcast is a real treat. We love every author who comes on to share their secrets, and we’re particularly thrilled to welcome romantasy writer Penn Cole. She’s the mind behind the brilliant Kindred's Cursed Saga, which recently concluded with its final book.
We love hearing about our guests’ journeys – where they’re from and where they’re headed. I don’t think we’ve spoken to anyone who has travelled quite as far as Penn. From her roots in Texas to her current life in France, her story is genuinely brilliant.
As ever, we want to find out how the magic happens. We always enjoy a friendly chat with authors about their creative process, and Penn goes into real detail about the meticulous plotting behind her work.
The level of preparation is remarkable. Penn explains that this kind of planning helps her sidestep predictable or cliché ideas, and it’s what enables her to uncover the fascinating concepts she explores in her wonderful novels.
